At Chauffeur Services Australia, we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) This Policy explains how we manage the personal information that we collect, hold, use and disclose and how to contact us if you have any further queries.

This Privacy Policy applies to you only to the extent that the collection and handling of your personal information by CSA is subject to the Privacy Act.

What is Personal Information:

Personal information is information or an opinion about an individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not, or is recorded in a material form or not. It includes your name, age, gender, contact details, health and race (health and race are also sensitive information). In this Privacy Policy, a reference to personal information includes sensitive information.

What Kind of Personal Information Do We collect and Hold:

We will only collect personal information about you by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive manner.

The types of personal information we may collect and hold include contact information (e.g. name, email address and mobile phone number), photographs and financial information (e.g. bank details). We may also collect and hold sensitive information including information about your health, race, marital status, medical history and criminal history.

Why do We collect, Use and Hold your personal information:

We collect, use and hold your personal information as part of the pre-onboarding process and to provide you with our services, and membership and business training. We also collect, use and hold your personal information to manage our ongoing relationship with you and perform functions and activities relating to our businesses.

Persistent Location information we collect

We collect the location data of the driver who wins the bid for a job, starting 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. This data is collected solely for the purpose of ensuring timely pickup and is visible to the offloading driver for confirmation. Once the job has officially begun, the App automatically disables location tracking, and no further location data is collected.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

We store your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you may follow the instructions on our Account Deletion Page.

We retain the location data only for the duration of the job handover process. After 10 minutes of job pickup time location tracking is disabled automatically, no further location data is stored on our servers.

Your Rights

As a user of our platform, you have the right to disable the location access for the CSA App anytime.

Do We transfer Personal Information Overseas

We are unlikely to transfer your personal information overseas. In the event we transfer your personal information outside Australia, we ensure that the service provider or entity complies with all necessary Data Retention & Privacy Policies

How We handle Complaints

If you have any concerns or complaints about the manner in which your personal information has been collected or handled by CSA, please contact our Data & Privacy Officer via e-mailing support@csaaap.com

Your concern or complaint will be directed to the appropriate complaint manager who will consider and respond to your complaint within 7 days.

It is our intention to use our best endeavours to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction. However, if you are unhappy with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner who may investigate your complaint further.
